As we are all facing this crazy COVID situation, we have more challenges than ever. If you’ve been following me on my social media platforms, you know that I’ve been doing a Facebook/Instagram Live Practice Session every day, for almost a year now! Its my way of giving back to the society, and also to stay sane and connect with you 🙂
Life has been challenging, but in the same time also giving. I am proud to say that in 2021, I’ve got the ‘Jazz Drummer of the Year’ award and 2nd place for my album ‘FREEDOM’ from www.magyarjazz.hu. I’ve done many interviews, a full front page review in the Zalai Hirlap (my hometown newspaper), podcasts, radio interviews and much more.
I’ve also received one of the greatest honors, (if not the greatest), a Master Teacher Certificate from the incredible Gary Chaffee. I was the first one to get this, out of the thousands of students he taught in the last 50 years, and I was one of three students who got it so far. In the same time, I am still teaching in Italy at the Sienna Jazz University’s Master Program. I’ve got this position in 2019, started to go there once a month, then in 2020 I did pretty much all my lessons online and since 2021, I am back with the in-person lessons. Its been a blessing to teach there and connect with all the students and teachers.
Hopefully soon we will be back on the road and connect with you again! Until then, I invite you to come and see me every night on my social media practice sessions!
